About Big Country Livestock Equipment
Our journey in manufacturing livestock equipment started in the mid-1970's, laying the foundation for what would become Big Country Livestock Equipment, Inc.
Tim and Melissa Evans, the visionary founders started their journey in 1995 with a modest investment of just $2,900. Over the past three decades they have steered the company from a modest small business into a multi-diversified powerhouse. Initially focusing on livestock equipment, the Evans expanded to become a major supplier and constructor of metal buildings, barns, and carports, as well as pioneers in building storage facilities for entrepreneurs seeking passive income opportunities.
In 2017, they realized Tim's vision by acquiring a tube mill, enhancing their ability to offer quality, consistent steel pipe and tubing while eliminating a significant middleman. This strategic move allowed Big Country to supply much of the steel pipe and tube used by competitors in the industry.
Melissa's vision came to fruition in 2020 with the acquisition of a powder coating facility, a milestone that further solidified Big Country's standing among the major players in the livestock equipment industry.
These acquisitions not only positioned Big Country alongside leading industry giants but also enabled them to offer unparalleled pricing for less than half that of their major competitors. Big Country stands committed to saving customers money, embodying the founders' dedication to quality, affordability, and innovation.
